Discover one of Slovenia's most spectacular alpine regions on a scenic journey through the Soča Valley, combining the emerald waters of the Soča River with dramatic mountain landscapes, traditional villages and the legendary mountain scenery of Kranjska Gora.

The journey begins in Bovec, a charming alpine town surrounded by the Julian Alps and one of Slovenia's most famous destinations for outdoor adventures. Take time to explore the town and enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Bovec is also an ideal place to experience the character of the Soča Valley, where alpine nature, local traditions and outdoor culture come together.

From Bovec, continue into the upper Soča Valley, following the winding mountain road alongside the emerald-green river.

The Soča is famous for its extraordinary turquoise-green colour, crystal-clear water and wild alpine scenery. Several scenic stops allow time to walk beside the river, photograph the waterfalls and rapids, and simply enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings.

The river has shaped the entire valley and is closely connected with the local way of life. Depending on the season and group interests, the program can include a short nature walk or an optional outdoor activity.

Continue through the spectacular Trenta Valley, one of the most beautiful parts of Triglav National Park. The road follows the Soča towards its upper reaches, surrounded by steep alpine slopes, forests and rugged limestone peaks.

A stop in Trenta provides an opportunity to experience a quieter and more authentic side of the Julian Alps, away from the larger tourist centres. Enjoy a short walk, photographs and time to appreciate the pristine mountain environment.

Continue towards the spectacular Vršič Pass, Slovenia's highest mountain pass. The road climbs through the Julian Alps with increasingly dramatic views of the surrounding peaks. The journey itself becomes an attraction, with numerous panoramic viewpoints and opportunities for photographs.

At the summit, take a short break to admire the mountain scenery and enjoy the fresh alpine air.

Descend towards Kranjska Gora, one of Slovenia's best-known alpine resorts. Surrounded by the Julian Alps, Karawanks and the peaks of the Martuljek mountain range, Kranjska Gora combines beautiful scenery with the atmosphere of a traditional mountain resort.

Take a leisurely walk through the village centre and enjoy time for coffee or a traditional alpine lunch. For a scenic final stop, visit Lake Jasna, located just outside Kranjska Gora. The clear mountain lake, framed by the dramatic peaks of the Julian Alps, provides one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the day. Finish the journey at Lake Jasna with a relaxed walk around the lake.

The combination of turquoise water, forests and towering mountains creates a perfect final photo opportunity. Enjoy a final Slovenian coffee or drink overlooking the lake before continuing to your next destination.
